Strive and get through 8 cups of water a day, to maintain a healthy body. This statement is now part of our thinking, we see it everywhere. For years the holler has been to drink plenty of water, if you don't you will suffer the repercussion. Here we could ask ourselves some questions..

Where did this "8×8" recommendation come from? What scientific prove supports this rule? What medical study or trial verify this statement? Do we automatically drink eight classes of water without question?

Commercialism are now part of the water industries and they encompass a huge sector.Whole industries today have built around the importance of increasing your water intake, and these industries have taken many forms.

Weight loss

Water bottles

Cleansing diets

Health industry

Beauty industry

Many more could be added to this list.

Water can not be patented so maybe this is a contributing factor. However all this still doesn't answer the question of the source of this water policy. This matter needs a reply.Increasing your water intake is without question paramount to optimum health. For the most part our bodies are made from H2O.

Do some research and find the answer

What you are lightly to see is website after website advocating the significance of drinking eight glasses of water a day. However no evidence is highlighted to corroborate these claims, in fact a viewpoint written by Doctors entitled 'Just Add Water" conducted an extensive research to find a study to validate this claim, unfortunately none was found.

Is there still reason to drink more water?

The fact remains that most of us just don't drink enough of the right fluids we may drink lots of;

Coffee or tea

Soda based drinks

Alcohol

Milk (flavored)

Fruit juice (sweetened)

In reality all liquids we drink add to our daily supply, but only water is good for your health. Unfortunately the 8X8 oz (240ml) glasses of water for a 24- hour period have no scientific bases. However that doesn't mean we go back to bad habits and drink whatever we feel like.

Going to drink more water? So which is the best water bottle?

If we are part of a large group of individuals that have decided already to drink more water we may have some more decisions to make. But why be concerned about this? The facts establish that not all water bottles are good to use or encourage optimum wellness. These are our options.

Plastic bottles not marked BPA free

Plastic bottles BPA free

Disposable plastic bottles from the supermarket or convenience store

Glass bottles

Metal bottles

Stainless Steel

There may be other types of water bottles not mentioned here and in addition there are the brand names, klean Kanteen, Camelbak and many more. You now realize that it's not only drinking more H2O, but it's also about what container or water bottle you are using.

Water is the best choice!
